Meeting this Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. in the Plaza San Francisco parking lot. Leaving at 8:05 car pooling to the Lucero area and from there hiking to the village of Caldera.
We will make a stop to explore the area to find the Charco La Cascada (see photo). We have hiked this old back road and sometimes locals ride their horse along the road to the village. This hike will probably be about 4 plus hours and be over 10 KM/6 mi.
Requirements pack rain gear, plenty of water, a snack, light weight clothing is best since it will be warm, wear sun block, bug spray and hat/cap. We will have lunch at Melissa's, so bring money no twenties, please. Hiking sticks are handy to have and also hiking shoes are preferred. We will be hiking downward but, it won't be steep and the terrain is gravel. But you need to be cautious.
Some will have a ride back to Boquete. I am asking those who want to hike on this day to have someone take a few people back to Lucero or Plaza San Francisco. Email me if you interested in hiking with us. Jere McCormick - jere chica @ Gmail.com (no spaces).
See you on the trail.
