Boquete Restaurants
Boquete probably has more restaurants per capita than any other city in Panama. The recommendations are not my own.
American
Bistro Boquete: Now operated by Craig Jacobs the Bistro is a place in the center of town for a burger, a salad or anything on the specials board. The upstairs has a small balcony which offers an active but noisy view of the hubbub of Boquete.
Restaurante Baru: Right at the central park, open 11am- 10pm for food longer for a bar. A recent addition to Boquete Dining.
Argentine
La Posada: A good grill, great pizza, live music on Saturday nights and Tango classes on Thursday evening. Good pizza and Argentine
beef and chicken grill platter.
Bakery
Sugar and Spice: I call Sugar and Spice bakery and restaurant. Breakast and Lunch.
Breakfast
Punto de Encuentro Cafe: Olga is wonderful.
Panamonte: A past Sunday brunch favorite
Central Park: My favorite Breakfast spot in Boquete.Watch the town wake up and enjoy something tasty. I love the liver and
onions for breakfast.
El Dorado Park: Alto Boquete, same menu as Central Park
but lacking the atmosphere
Sugar and Spice: Great place for breakfast except on Wednesday when they are closed. I love the breakfast burrito.
Burgers
Fresa Marys: Located up the Volcancito road. Burgers, and Boquete strawberries in cream, Chiriqui caramelo, and ice cream.
Fusion Bar and Grill: Panamanian new owner.
Big Daddy’s: Even though seafood is primarily served here. The owner Larry and Elizabeth make their Veggie Burger.
Chinese
Yings: Only Chinese restaurant located in Alto Boquete in the Alto Dorado Plaza.
Continental Country Style
Panamonte: Eat in their cozy bar. Fireplace is normally going.
The Wine Bar: Italian restaurant, location on the way to Valle Escondido.
Oasis: One the best five in Boquete for dinner. Across the main bridge in Bajo Boquete in town.
French
Le Art La Crepe: New owners. Good crepes and more.
International
The Rock: Good food on the way to Palto Alto. The Rock has withstood two floods literally destroying it and hopefully it will
withstand the test of time. Jazz every Monday night.
Mike’s Global Grill: Always open for lunch and dinner, all week. Music on Friday, open mic.
Italian
Il Pianista: Italian owned making their own Pasta. Located past Alto Lino. Good food, good wine and a spectacular setting.
Papa Riccos: Italian, good pizza. Located in where the first gas station is Alto Boquete.
Mexican
Antojitos: Trini’s food is as always excellent, her prices have gotten a bit too high for us to eat there as frequently as we did in the
past.
La Casona: We have not returned. We will next time we want to play roulette with the menu. It is hit miss and I have since returned for some good food.
Panamanian
El Sabroson: One of my favorites for fast cheap eats. Try the trout (trucha).
Lourdes: Located on main street.
Las Orquideas: Good, simple Typico.
Cafe Nelvis: Still my favorite for fried chicken. They have moved across from the elementary school Bajo Boquete.
Central Park: A favorite Boquete Breakfast spot for Pananamians and visitors. A great view of the park.
La Casa del Risco: Located in Los Molinos. Happy Hour every Friday in their outdoor bar with a full service restaurant.
Milquiburger: Fried chicken so damn good. Located in Los Naranjos.
Seafood
Big Daddy's: Best seafood and fish restaurant in Boquete, "always fresh never frozen." Located on main street.
Boquete Fish House: Seafood prepared as you want it. Check the board for the daily specials.
Peruvian
Machu Picchu: Lunch and dinner
Sandwiches
Sugar and Spice: I call Sugar and Spice a Bakery serving sandwiches on fresh baked bread.
