As were walking along the dirt lane, we met a very friendly Panamanian man and began chatting with him. We have found that stopping and talking to the locals has always been a very pleasant experience and a way to find new trails to hike on and to find out more interesting facts about the area. This time, we are in luck after asking him if there is a trail 'off the beaten path' in the area and where it would end up. Sure enough, he pointed us in the direction to take; we began our walk turned off where he mentioned and continued to explore the trail.
After walking for some distance, I thought it would be a good trail to explore with the hiking group on the next hike and that is exactly the area we explored. More on that later, stay tuned. I must add that day there was a beautiful panorama of the Volcan Baru and of the Cerro La Estrella and the Jaramillo mountains, and the meadow on each side of the trail were different hues of green. It was a beautiful morning full of color and the lighting was just right.
It is good to explore, dream, discover, see you on the trail.
