Yesterday, I sent my regular email out to the group about hiking Saturday mentioning that even with the probability of rain our hike would take place.
I woke Saturday morning no rain, whew!
I made coffee sat down at the computer drinking it as, I normally do, then noticed it was very still outside. The birds were not chirping and carrying on contently as they normally do. I, glanced outside and sure enough it had begun to drizzle some. On Thursday morning the same thing happened it began drizzling.
Nevertheless, I got dressed and went outside to check out the situation. Hummm, looking up at the sky thinking, not bad it may clear up. When it drizzles like it did today, we hike. Nothing wrong with a little water.
Got ready packing my rain coat and other essentials and drove to the meeting place. As it turned out two other people showed up a became a foursome. To me it was a good turnout realizing after all these years most people do like to hike in the rain not even light rain. I don't mind the rain as a matter of fact the hills take on beautiful hues of green; light, yellow, and dark. Colors are a lot more vibrant when the foliage is damp, the surroundings are so totally awesome. Creeks sprout up along the trail and become fuller the sound is very musical as well as the air it is so fresh, and the moistness as the rain trickles down seeing it as a free facial.
Try walking along these old roads one day while it is drizzling, you are in for a magnificent treat, even though you may get a little wet, you can change into dry clothes once you return home.
Remember explore, dream. and discover! See you on the trail...
