One couple in the hiking group was fortunate to meet Manuel while hiking towards the Pianista Trail and, he led them to this waterfall. I was interested in knowing where the waterfall was located and so, they asked Manuel if, he could be our guide.
The morning was cloudy with a chance of rain, as this is the beginning of the rainy season and hikers take a chance that it may rain while hiking and so, we set out. So there, we were hiking on a cow pasture dodging cow manure as, we looked at the scenery, the trees some still with orchids, some in our group even came upon tiny orchids, mushrooms and colorful fuzzy caterpillars. Heading down and back to the trail head the sun did peek out and we did not get rained on. A great day for a hike.
Manuel a young boy of 12 years was our guide for the second time. He is a shy person especially being surrounded by so many foreigners, many of us older then his parents and all of us speaking English, although some in our group can speak Spanish.
